Twenty-five square meters, and something no other tent has: a private pool on the terrace. Each of the sixteen Kafila tents is its own retreat — a soaking tub, warm lighting, and water that catches the desert sky. Set slightly apart from the rest of the camp.

Agafay desert tents, inside and out
Our Agafay desert tents are hand-pitched by craftsmen from the High Atlas and furnished with natural materials: linen, European cotton, wood and hand-woven Berber rugs. Each tent has a king-size or twin bed, an en-suite bathroom with a solar-heated shower and a private terrace facing the desert. The tents are spaced across the camp so that every terrace looks onto open landscape and the Atlas Mountains rather than onto a neighbour.
There are two categories of Agafay desert tents. The 36 Explorer tents offer twenty-five square metres of calm and suit couples, friends and solo travellers. The 16 Kafila tents add a private pool on the terrace and sit slightly apart from the rest of the camp, for guests who want more privacy. All guests enjoy the heated pools, the restaurant and the activities programme.
What is the difference between Explorer and Kafila tents?
Both measure twenty-five square metres and have an en-suite bathroom and a private terrace. Kafila tents add a private pool on the terrace and are set slightly apart for more privacy.
How many people can stay in a tent?
Each tent welcomes two guests, with either a king-size bed or two twin beds. For families and groups, we can reserve neighbouring tents.
Are the tents comfortable in winter and summer?
Yes. Beds have warm bedding for cool desert nights, showers are solar-heated twenty-four hours a day, and the canvas and linen keep the tents pleasant during the warmer months.

How far is the camp from Marrakech?
The camp is about 45 minutes from Marrakech and 55 minutes from Menara airport by road. Private transfers can be arranged on request.
What is included in my stay?
Your stay includes access to the two heated pools, the pergola and the shared spaces of the camp. Meals, activities, massages and transfers can be booked with our team before or during your stay.
What is the view from the tents?
Every terrace faces the open stone desert. On clear days you can see the High Atlas to the east, snow-capped in winter, and at night the sky is full of stars far from the lights of the city.
Can I book tents for a group or an event?
Yes. Groups can reserve several Agafay desert tents together, and for weddings and seminars the whole camp of 52 tents can be reserved exclusively.
